Motion to Dismiss
04/18/2012 - A motion to dismiss brought by Jim Niquet, Sam Hall and Rebecca Levin was recently granted in a case involving civil rights and state law claims against a county related to its investigation and handling of child sexual assault allegations. Crivello Carlson brought the motion to dismiss on behalf of the county, sheriff's department and department of social services, which was granted by the United States District Court for the Western District. The court dismissed the civil rights and state law claims brought by the parents of a minor who faced juvenile charges as a result of allegations of sexual assault of another child.
